The Sitting Tree is a short story that follows a young girl on her journey through life, as she tries to hear the song of her heart.

Zaza rushed up the steep hill to where her father was sitting.

“Father! What should I do with my one, wild and precious life?”

Zaza's father sat with his eyes still closed.

“Father..?”

“What does your heart love, daughter?”

Zaza looked at her heart. “I do not know, father.”

“Not knowing is good. Go. Run to the sitting tree high above the valley and sit there until you hear what your heart loves.”

So Zaza ran as fast as she could ...
